We have an immediate need for a very experienced Web Developer who has expert level skills with PHP, HTML, mySQL (SQL database programming) and Apache.  Must have extensive experience developing, troubleshooting and enhancing large PHP/HTML/mySQL based web applications. The position involves development, troubleshooting, bug fixing and enhancement work on a large, complex opensource application (there are about 1400 PHP modules in the system).  We need someone who excels at troubleshooting and fixing problems but also enjoys new development work to enhance systems to make them better.  This person will also need to have the ability and comfort level to interface/communicate well with people at all levels of an organization.  This system impacts hundreds of people within the organization and the design and development of its functionality is highly visible.

All work is to be performed Monday - Friday onsite in Athens, GA.  We will provide accomodations overnight during the week if the consultant is from Atlanta and cannot commute back and forth daily.  It will be a straight contract position that will extend in 3 month increments as deliverables are met.  There are enough plans for enhancements to this system for the contract to run indefinitely.
