Position Description:

As a .Net Developer, you will work with our proprietary web system, developing and maintaining applications that support our business.  You will work with the interface between this system and our off the shelf programs.  You will touch all areas of our business and the people in all areas of our business in this critical role.  Your essential duties will include:

·         Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment to meet internal and external customer needs

·         Assist in the development, support, and maintenance of a data-driven, company-wide web application

·         Integrate current systems with third party software

·         Work in a team environment to accomplish company initiatives and goals

·         Proactively asses the needs of customers and end users to deliver process and productivity improvement solutions

·         Provide detailed specification, documentation, and training materials for current and future applications

·         Communicate effectively with customers, vendors and end users at both a technical and non-technical level

·         Participate in software development complete life cycle

·         Research, develop and incorporate new technology with current applications

Requirements

The successful candidate for .Net Developer will possess the following qualifications:

·         2 years minimum previous programming experience

·         Experience in ASP.NET using C#

·         Understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and principles

·         SQL with relational databases

·         Must be able to work with all kinds of people

·         Experience in a transportation environment helpful but not required

·         Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills are critical

·         Ability to remain calm in a high-stress environment necessary

Technical competencies and skills required include:

·         Java

·         Classic ASP

·         Oracle

·         AJAX

·         Mapping integration
