| Responsibilities | | Design and deploy business applications in our Linux-oriented business-to-business network. Apply web services skills such as PHP, J2EE, EJB, and web page layout to create web interfaces into manufacturing, logistics, engineering design cycle, and project management data. Participate with our team in designing reliable, convenient, and secure back-end access to Oracle, DB2, and other database systems. Use open-source methodologies to rapidly develop solutions with seasoned team members in our demanding, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include interaction with customers, requiring strong presentation and communications skills. | | Qualifications | | B.S. Computer Science or equivalent with relevant experience. Proficiency in J2EE; working knowledge of PHP; working knowledge of scripting languages used in Linux systems; knowledge of SQL, ODBC, JDBC, as applicable to Oracle and DB2 databases; knowledge of Linux systems management; knowledge of design-cycle versioning tools (CVS, Subversion) and deployment methods (Ant); basic understanding of web page elements (HTML, CSS); knowledge of Internet engineering and Internet programming (IP socket programming). Oracle or DB2 database administration skills are definite pluses. |
