This position will be based in Manhattan for the Spring 2010 semester.

Top-rated cable television network is seeking production interns looking for a hands-on industry experience working on digital media extensions of our award-winning programs. This position is designed for a college level student interested in utilizing what he/she has learned in college and applying it to a real world setting and gaining experience in the digital media department of a major television network.


Some key tasks include:

- Designing and producing graphics for aetv.com

- Efficiently updating web content, while maintaining high quality of execution

- Developing unique design components that fit within established design
parameters



Candidates should have skills in image manipulation (correction, cropping, composition, effects, etc), have a good eye for photography and typography and have a good sense of color. Ability to work quickly and deliver under deadline is key. An understanding of the difference between dynamic and static web sites and knowledge of Actionscript 3 and Javascript are pluses.

Prerequisites: Majoring in graphic design, strong background in Photoshop, Flash, HTML and CSS
