We are currently looking for a Web Designer with strong knowledge of using DHTML/XHTML with CSS layouts and Flash ActionScript 3. This position will work closely with the Manager of Interactive Design and front-end developers implementing established styles of the Hanley Wood family of Web sites (www.eplans.com, www.builderonline.com ) by creating HTML/CSS mockups, troubleshooting CSS, formatting Web pages and making updates to new and existing content. Some creative opportunities exist for marketing support.


Major Job Responsibilities and Related Duties:
Design, create and format DHTML/XHTML pages and Flash AS3 applications using Hanley Wood Business Media's established styles.


Additional Job Responsibilities:
Suggest new approaches for design concepts;
Format logos using Hanley Wood’s established styles;
Design and create marketing collateral for e-Media's sales and audience development efforts.

Internal Management Responsibilities:
Understand technical requirements of each job through consulting with the Manager of Interactive Design;
Work closely with internal clients and front-end developers;
Work under major and minor deadlines;
Ask for clarification and/or training as needed.

Minimum Skills and Experience:
2-3 years experience in web design or graphic design;
BA in Graphic Design preferred but equivalent work experience is acceptable;
Designer must be fluent in the following software/skills:
DHTML/XHTML 1.0
CSS
Flash and ActionScript 3
Dreamweaver
Photoshop
Illustrator
Acrobat
InDesign
Mac and PC platforms
