Due to our continued growth, LocalEdge is seeking experienced Web Designers to provide custom web site solutions to our customers. This position is responsible for turning the requirements and ideas of the customer into tangible design for web sites and mobile web sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work with other team members and end user to meet design requirements.

• Responsible for developing the overall look and feel of the website / mobile site.

• Create timeline/schedule for requirements.

• Must be familiar with modern HTML practices; Tabless layout, separation of form and function, separation of style and semantics.

• Proficient in writing HTML and CSS from hand.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript and AJAX.

• Basic knowledge of template and template-like languages a plus: JSTL, Scriptlets, Velocity, Freemarker, PHP.

• Effectively manages all projects assigned by manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Degree in Web Design, CS or equivalent experience is required.  Must have a minimum of 1 year web design experience. Design for Mobile web site is highly desired.

 
The candidate must be detail oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated. The candidate must have knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and PowerPoint.
