CARD is currently seeking an innovative Web Designer to join our development team. The Web Designer selected must have a well developed design sense with a presentable portfolio of development work online. The Web Designer reports directly to the Director of IT and must have experience with HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, Photoshop; as well as experience with ASP.net, Visual Studio and C#. Working knowledge of SQL Server and project development methodologies necessary. Ability to hand-code HTML a must. The Web Designer must be able to develop and create the front end interface for mission critical web application and will be responsible for database development for healthcare-related Research and Development projects. The Web Designer will be responsible to create standards-compliant, cross-browser-compatible HTML/CSS representations of visual designs with pixel-level accuracy and attention to detail. Must have the ability to understand and trouble-shoot existing code. Knowledge of web standards, browser compatibility and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) critical. The Web Designer must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
