Job Summary

The Web Developer will develop, implement, and maintain web-based content management initiatives and web-based application deployment. Assist with the analysis, development and implementations of processes related to e-commerce and enhance the company’s web presence.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for web development and integration into Spectrum Brand’s external and internal web sites
• Transform and implement design concepts into a production environment using C#, ASP.NET, HTML, Javascript, CSS and ASP in a Windows Server environment.
• Provide support for programming HTML pages, Content Management Templating and Content Management System design.
• Develop, test and debug programs and maintain simple to moderately complex web-based interactive programs.
• Create and/or modify program documentation.
• Complete program specifications and develop / implement programs with limited supervision.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and recommend solutions for assigned Trouble Tickets.
• Participate in “on-call” application support.

• Technical proficiency in ASP.NET, C#, VB, HTML, JavaScript, XML.
• Experience with SQL Server 2005 / 2008
• Experience with Microsoft Office Sharepoint 2007.
• Understanding of web browser technologies like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, … etc.
• Ability to research and develop solutions for issues and use of effective work estimation techniques.
• Ability to work with various people in different sections of the organization – business users, I.S. personnel, vendors – effectively.

Education and Experience Profile

• B.S. degree related to Information Systems or equivalent experience in systems development / analysis
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience delivering results using modern web development technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, HTML/XHTML.
• Experience developing solutions to business problems while remaining abreast on new and emerging technology is required.
• Must be able to effectively balance time resources to perform simultaneous work on multiple projects and/or tasks.
• Knowledge and experience with content management systems and tools.
