About the Job

Summary: Create, design and maintain websites and print literature including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content for Chemtex’s publicly available web sites. Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical while making sure that sites are easy to navigate. Create visual concepts that match the content and the image that fits the company's image. Perform maintenance and updates to existing web sites. This position is required to translate marketing or informational content into functional web sites including creating images, graphics and Flash, managing the e-commerce components, and making changes to the site as directed by company priorities.

Responsibilities:

To create, design, update, and maintain four company websites.  Responsible for making changes to site on a regular basis for SEO purposes.  Knowledge of SEO is a must!

Qualifications:

• 3 years experience in commercial web development (portfolio required)
  
• Expertise required in Flash and graphic design
  
• Strong knowledge of e-commerce operations
  
• Software knowledge base should include HTML, JavaScript, PHP, CSS, and AJAX
  
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts
  
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with end users to meet appropriate deadlines.
  
• Great attention to detail.
  
• Excellent organizational skills.
  
• Excellent communications skills

Company will not relocate. Applicant must be able to start immediately and live within the RI Area.
