The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine has an opportunity for a Web Developer within the Department of Medical Information Technology, located on our Medical Campus. This individual will be responsible for the creation of the Medical School /  UHealth Internet and web based solutions. The candidate will be improving business processes as requested by the departments through the design and/or implementation of web based solutions. This is achieved by creating and maintaining web sites using CMS and developing web based applications. To effectively fulfill these responsibilities the Developer must have knowledge of programming languages an proper web site development, object oriented programming and strong knowledge of CMS for web site development. SharePoint knowledge and experience is a plus. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and have the ability to function successfully in a multi-tasking environment. Will develop Internet and web-based solutions which directly support the department's mission of improving external communications, making direct service accessible to the end-user, and improving business processes of client departments through the design and/or implementation of web-based solutions. Verbal and Written English skills required. Superior customer service skills are a must.

Bachelor's Degree and three years progressive work-related experience with web development and content management. Must be highly experienced using content management systems (CMS) and have a strong working knowledge of application web development. Must be proficient using.NET,ASP, HTML, Javascript, XML/XSLT, MS SQL, and related technologies, and have experience with Windows server administration. Any appropriate combination of education, certifications and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
