WEBFOCUS REPORT DEVELOPER

This is a Contract to Hire Role

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

·         Development Experience:  3-5 years using the technologies noted below

·         WebFOCUS 7.6.x: 

o   Experience coding complex HTML launch pages using JavaScript validation

o   Experience developing reports using the Dev Studio IDE (not directly in the FOCUS code)

o   Experience configuring and maintaining the MRE & Dashboard

o   Experience using Report Caster to schedule reports for delivery (ie. sftp, email, etc)

·         Basic Web Experience:  HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS

·         Servers:  Experience with either JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic and/or WAS

·         DB:  Experience using stored procedures and writing ad-hoc queries

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

·         Tools:  Ant, Source Control tool

·         DB:  Oracle, Sybase

·         Reports: Experience developing reports with drill down and drill through functionality, MR Extract

·         WebFOCUS:  Experience with Admin Console configuration, any other skills necessary to support the WebFOCUS environment

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

·         Candidate will take on the Lead WebFOCUS report developer role;

·         Design, develop, test, implement and support application enhancements;

·         Provide support and maintenance of current application code and the WebFOCUS environment;

·         Strong UI / Presentation web design and development skills;

·         Candidate should be detail oriented;

·         Strong debugging abilities;

·         Maintain good source control and documentation of application code and standards;

·         Candidate should have a proven track record of being able to plan, prioritize, estimate, and deliver projects on time;

·         Constant evaluation of efficiency and technology enhancement opportunities;

·         Provide technical assistance to internal business users on a variety of issues and direct support on web interface issues;

·         Periodic on call pager rotation;

·         Excellent communication skills;

·         Other duties as may be required.
