Job Description

It's the goal of the Web Developer to help achieve and maintain the best website in the industry. The Web Developer will be responsible for developing and supporting our company’s website and other related web-based internet initiatives. The individual will perform a variety of tasks and gets to use a wide degree of creativity, while being flexible and having a can-do mentality. You will design, code, debug, document, and maintain customer facing websites. You will work closely with an exciting, fun team, including the marketing department, as well as product management and technical support. You will develop and extend web solutions utilizing ASP.NET and VB.NET with data contained in an MS SQL Server. Candidates must have experience working on a customer facing corporate website.

Responsibilities

-- Develop and maintain company public-facing websites

-- Work as a member of the marketing team, while also assisting other departments in creating and maintaining our online initiatives as they relate to business needs

-- Play a key role in contributing to the vision and strategy for website enhancements and optimization, while keeping a firm hand on the smallest project details

-- Analyze business requirements and provide options for appropriate technical solutions

-- Maintenance of FTP services

-- Maintaining, analyzing, and summarizing web analytics to be used for reporting, lead generation and market research

Overall Requirements)

-- 3 to 5 years of experience working on an external company website, as a part of a marketing department

-- B.S. in Computer Science (or related field)

-- Proven ability to create compelling, innovative corporate web presence

-- Strong interpersonal skills, autonomous and proactive in solving problems

-- Good written and verbal communication skills

-- Detail oriented and highly organized individual with ability to multi-task

Skill Requirements

-- Expert level VB.NET / ASP.NET skills in delivering internet web applications

-- Strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript/web 2.0 skills

-- Professional experience working with database technologies, specifically MS SQL Server

-  Professional experience with SEO techniques and best practices, including a solid understanding of website log analysis

-- Experience working with MS Internet Information Server involving permissions, creating/altering web sites and virtual directories

-- Implementing e-Commerce strategies
-- Multimedia Experience (especially video/Flash)

Preferred Experience

-- Performed other marketing roles

-- Design experience is a plus

-- Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver

-- SharePoint
-- Print and media production
