Web Developer
About the Job
MedThink Communications, located in Raleigh, NC, is a dynamic full-service health care advertising agency seeking a Web Developer to assist our growing Digital & Media Services Team.
The Web Developer is responsible for creating and developing web applications. He or she must be able to effectively communicate, coordinate, and brainstorm with Creative, SEO, Web Designers and Account Services to ensure site and web applications function successfully for assigned digital projects.
Position Requirements:
-Minimum (5) years of hands-on web development experience
-BS or MS in computer science or related discipline OR significant equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Database Technology: MySQL, SQL
-Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, PHP, C#, JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX, XML
-Strong hand-coding skills
-Setting up and/or building Drupal or other content management systems
-Server administration and security
-Object orientated design and programming advocate
-Knowledge of SEO, usability, and accessibility best practices a plus
-Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies, tools, and applications
-iPhone, Facebook application development a plus
Position Responsibilities:
Demonstrates behavior expected of a professional member of the organization including but not limited to:
-Develop web applications with reusable modular code
-Excellent embedded documentation in all code
-Strong project collaboration skills and team-oriented developer
-Excellent communication skills
-Self-motivated problem solving skills
-Participates in professional growth and development
-Attends Company sponsored in-services and/or continuing education
-Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations as necessary
-Performs other job duties as assigned
-Cross trains in other positions as requested
