Web Developer

Position Purpose

Contribute in the design and construction of ASP.NET offerings for our internal and external use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Develop C# web applications using Visual Studio 2008 and .NET 3.5 (ASP.NET & ASP.NET MVC)

·         Help review, maintain, and implement our external site SEO strategy

·         Write WCF Services as directed

·         Attend daily SCRUM meetings and other planning and/or team meetings

·         Work closely with Project Managers and/or Dev Leads

·         Mentor/Help other Web Developers on the team

·         Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Education and Experience Required

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

·         4-6 years experience in web site/application development

·         At least 2-3 years experience with ASP.NET and C#

·         2-3 experience using MVC is required

·         2-3 years experience with Search Engine Optimization

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

·         Proficient in using HTML, DHTML and CSS

·         Must be skilled with Javascript/AJAX concepts

·         Demonstrated success with Search Engine Optimization

·         Experience with WCF or ASMX web services preferred

·         Strong understanding and experience with object oriented design principles and Architectural patterns

·         Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases

·         Code repository skills required

·         Excellent Verbal/Written communication skills

·         Proven troubleshooting skills

·         Experienced in proposing and executing solutions to existing problems

·         Excels at developing and following best practices including team based processes

·         Ability to estimate time on tasks and complete them accordingly
