Origo Networks delivers on-demand applications to businesses.

The Origo business application network enables developers to deploy,
run and distribute applications online. We also work with internet
service providers and industry groups to help businesses find, buy and
use applications online through private-labeled Intops and App markets.


User Interface (UI) Designer:


Origo is looking for a user interface designer to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and is passionate about creating
high-quality and highly usable products. As the lead UI designer you
will work with the engineering team to create the prototypes, mockups,
and wireframes for the Origo App Market and Intop (next generation web
desktop). With an impeccable eye for design you will pioneer Origo’s
look and feel for the future. As the first UI designer at Origo you
will have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility and
scale with the company as we grow.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Create and communicate design deliverables such as design specifications, templates, storyboards, wire-frames, and personas

• Conduct user analysis, task analysis, UI mock-ups, user
interaction models, prototypes, design briefs, design specifications,
and screen flows.

• Support UE research efforts and recommend visual design enhancements

• Transform abstract concepts with minimal visualization into
visually elegant web-based applications that adhere to usability
principles

• Collaborate with internal creative and technical teams to
ensure that web designs and applications meet both client and end user
needs

• Develop fully documented designs of interactive web based
applications that can be easily interpreted and implemented by
experienced software developers

• Design and build web pages and applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Illustrator, Photoshop,

• Adhere to existing design standards, including Section 508


QUALIFICATIONS:


• Exceptionally strong UI background, technical skills, and an eye for design

• Experience in user interface design for software applications
(Web-based applications are considered relevant, but not Web sites)

• Familiarity with developing for accessibility and scalability

• Strong design skills including screen layouts, information design, typography, color usage, and integrating corporate branding

• Capable of meeting the highest standards of quality in workmanship

• Strong attention to details

• Exceptionally strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time to meet milestones

• Bachelor's or higher degree in UI design or computer science


DESIRED SKILLS:


• Expert knowledge of Adobe Flex, ActionScript and MXML

• Expert knowledge of UI/UE design techniques

• Familiarity with browser technologies (XML, XSLT, DHTML, Javascript, CSS, DOM)

• Advanced graphic design skills

• Experience with designing for enterprise software / SaaS (on-demand)

• Domain knowledge of e-commerce sites and
