Title: Web Developer

Reports to: Development Manager, eCommerce Systems

Location: Portland, OR

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating computer software to facilitate business operations. Maintains and expands capabilities of the corporate CRM and eCommerce applications. Provides functional and technical leadership to junior team members. Coordinates small to medium sized teams on projects.

Responsibilities:

- Develops web enabled software using current programming tools in either a team or individual environment
- Develops database queries and stored procedures.
- Analyzes problems and provides coherent solutions to both users and management
- Converts system requirements into logical program designs, code modules and stable application systems
- Develops technical design documents for software solutions independently
- Guides junior team members on technical and functional issues

- Performs unit, integration and system level tests and develops any necessary supporting documentation
- Provides support to requirements analysts and users in the development of functional system requirements
- Sets milestones and meets programming schedules and deadlines both for self and project team

Requirements for this position:
- 4-6 years experience in developing high volume transaction based websites that incorporate item management as well as cross selling

- Expert knowledge in PHP5, Javascript / AJAX / JQuery, SQL, XML, HTML and CSS.

- Has thorough knowledge of design and integration / architecture patterns.

- Has a thorough understanding of CRM system tables, table relationships, and underlying data flows

- Has indepth understanding of Agile development processes.
- Experience with Oracle WMS (Warehouse Management System), Microsoft Commerce Server and IBM WebSphere preferred

- Experience with MVC frameworks, such as Zend.

- Able to quickly learn new technical concepts and programming languages

- Can effectively and accurately articulate complex functional and technical concepts to end users, junior team members, and management

- Candidate is a strong team player and motivated self-starter that has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable in current trends in technology and is able to provide innovative software solutions
