abeedle.com is one of the nation's premier marketing firms for colleges and universities. We specialize in email, web, and multimedia programs that help a wide variety of colleges recruit students.
We have an opening for an experienced Web Designer/Developer located in Roanoke, VA.
Daily responsibilities include:
- HTML Assembly of all web site designs and associated styles (Home Page, Inner Page, Image Galleries, etc.)
- Use Photoshop to create web site graphics - buttons, header images, crop images, etc.
- Create HTML/CSS web page layouts from Photoshop documents
- Set up web site elements and add content to pages
- Implement design changes/enhancements on existing client projects
- Work with Director of Interactive Services and other team members to complete projects on time
- Work with developers to implement custom web site features
- Customer Support for web-based projects
Required skills and aptitudes:
- Excellent Web site production skills including: HTML coding, CSS (hand coders who can use any tool but must be able to code without Dreamweaver, etc.), PHP, ColdFusion, etc.
- Proficient in editing images using Photoshop/Creative Suite, MS Office. Familiar with Flash, video/audio for the Web. We will train you on our content management system.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure content is produced and posted correctly is a must.
- Good work ethic and self-starting attitude, and ability to work well among a diverse team of professionals.
- Ability to work capably under stress and to juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Strong diplomatic, interpersonal and teamwork skills; sensitive to working in a multicultural environment and with a diverse range of clients.
- Must be familiar and conversant with Mac working environment.
Minimum education and experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree with minimum 3+ years experience as a web producer or equivalent.
