We are seeking a Web Requirements Analyst for a 6 month contract position in Mount Laurel, NJ. No 3rd party candidates will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities include:
Create (or facilitate creation of) various models, documents and specifications that will contribute to effective software development, which may include: Vision documents, Business Process Models, User Stories, Use Cases, Use Case models, Activity (swimlane) diagrams, Collaboration Diagrams, Functional and Supplemental Specifications, and other types of artifacts
Effectively collaborate with product teams, users/user proxies, user experience experts, development teams and offshore resources in creating a robust set of specifications as a basis to estimate and build systems
Participate as a member of the Functional Requirements team, contributing to define best practices, conduct peer reviews, and build knowledge as required
Participate in application deployments
Participate in application testing
Participate in other development / design activities as required
Required skills/experience:
BA/BS minimum in a related field, MBA or equivalent preferred.
5-7 years of experience in business analysis / requirements management for a product or system, preferably in an electronic information industry or publishing.
In-depth knowledge of online products and web development processes.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Good understanding of web technologies.
Experience with the implementation of web sites and/or editorial systems.
Experience working with Global systems and users.
Experience in business analysis, problem solving and technical writing skills
Experience in functional requirements preparation
Knowledge and experience in effective requirements elicitation techniques is desired, including facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) and Business Process Redesign (BPR) sessions
Agile Methodology; knowledge of Scrum and Unified Process (RUP / Agile UP)
