MRC, Inc. is looking for a talented, motivated individual who will fill a position as a Web Software Developer.

The main goal of this position is to design, program, test, implement and support our clientele’s systems with the main emphasis being coding and testing. 

Tasks and Activities

·         Interface with departments to ascertain and develop client implementation and conversion requirements, track them to completion, and ensure requirements meet the stated strategic goals for the product and/or implementation. 

·         Recommend alternative approaches to satisfying business requirements based on detailed analyses. 

·         Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone, email and using a help desk management system

·         Track issues to resolution updating the internal knowledgebase and communicating with relevant business units

·         Escalate more involved problems to the Senior Development

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

·         Previous experience creating and deploying .NET web sites using .NET 4, VB, C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, Web Services, and Microsoft SQL Server.

·         Ability to complete an entire development cycle, from requirements gathering to design, to coding, to peer-review, testing, release and maintenance.

·         Forward thinking to bring new ideas to management for streamlining of processes and procedures.

·         Ability to work closely and efficiently with the departments to understand their needs from an overall application standpoint. 

·         Experience with Microsoft Web development technology, especially VB, C#, .NET 3.5 and 4.0

·         Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery and AJAX

·         Experience with Queries, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions in Microsoft SQL Server.

·         Knowledge of Adobe Flex and Microsoft Silverlight is a plus

·         Knowledge of Java development with the Android SDK is a plus

·         Knowledge of Objective C is a plus

·         Ability to work timely and efficiently in a rapidly-changing environment.

·         Must be able to work effectively within a team with assignment independence.

·         Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.

·         Demonstrate understanding of software development methodologies, programming concepts, design patterns, and database design.

Required Qualifications:

·         US citizenship

·         Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field

·         One to two years of related experience

·         Ability to pass client required background check before hire and randomly throughout employment

·         Ability to pass client required drug testing before hire and randomly throughout employment
