The position is for a UI developer with Java development abilities. Position expectations will be to work with creative deliverables (Photoshop), render them into HTML/CSS, and apply them to existing UI framework. Must have ability to learn new frameworks and API's quickly.
Required Skills (3+ Years):
- JavaScript - any JavaScript framework (Dojo, JQuery,etc) with the ability to adapt quickly to using new frameworks and libraries when called upon to do so.
- Custom DOM scripting using either core JavaScript or framework to create reusable UI components.
- Ability to debug cross browser rendering issues.
- CSS - expert understanding of the Cascade
- Ability to design using web standards and table-less layouts
- Graphic Design
- Photoshop & Illustrator
- Using browser based tools to debug UI defects in multiple browsers; Debugging HTTP requests and responses
- Strong understanding of traditional development, and experience with a dynamic or non-dynamic server side language.
- OOP principles and methodology
- Versioning Control (Subversion)
- Java 5 / JSP / Servlets
- SQL
