Resolvit IT & Management Consulting (Resolvit) is looking for a Systems Engineer to work as full-time Resolvit employee. Successful candidates will work with a platform technical lead to implement and support the Middleware Production in a UNIX Solaris 8, 9, 10 environment.  In addition, this candidate will have a working knowledge of Remedy and will perform troubleshooting and/or configuration changes to resolve issues in support of the production environment (Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, and webMethods in a UNIX environment). The ideal candidate will use their experience, to not only meet the expectations of our client, but to reach beyond our client’s expectations.

Required Skills:

Preferred Skills

·        Use of ClearCase

·        Knowledge of infrastructure and network components (Big IP, 3DNS, Firewalls/Routers, etc.)

·        Team player attitude

·        Strong verbal and written communication

·        Excellent organization skills

·        Fundamental understanding of the functioning of the UNIX operating system: for example understands job control, hard and soft linking, the difference between shell programs and kernel programs

·        Familiarity with networked/ distributed computing environments. For example: can use the route command, determine path of destination addresses from servers, isolate issues regarding loss of packet loss/connectivity with limited or no assistance from systems group.

·        Knowledgeable of all aspects of the UNIX operating system: paging/swapping, inter-process communication, devices, and file system concepts.

·        Environments and concepts. Can configure NFS and NIS, use nslookup or research to check information in the DNS

·        Ability to perform at least minimal debugging and modification of Java/J2EE programs

·        Ability to perform most security audits, and protect the system against intrusion

·        Help plan for the future of the site and network
