Position Summary: The Webmaster designs, coordinates and implements internet-based marketing initiatives for a regional law firm to achieve the firm’s strategic goals. She/he collaborates with internal and external constituents and constructs databases that enable efficient sharing and use of marketing information. The successful candidate may be housed in Morgantown, Charleston or Clarksburg West Virginia.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Director of Marketing & Client Services and works closely with the Client Services Manager and Regional Marketing Manager as a member of the marketing / client services team.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Responsible for strategic internet marketing, Web site and intranet development, based on business goals and input from internal constituents, consultants
· Recommends and implements Web site enhancements and modifications
· Develops, implements and enforces regular Web site maintenance, appropriate use, and privacy policies / procedures to ensure site accuracy and timeliness
· Assesses competing Web sites and makes improvement recommendations to our site
· Ensures a consistent look and feel across the Web site
· Identifies, implements, and manages Web site presence and promotion in accordance with accepted Web standards and in compliance with legal advertising guidelines
· Participates in development and integration of graphic / multimedia components into the Web site
· Troubleshoots hardware and software issues and maintains Web site availability
· Sets and enforces standards that ensure site accessibility for users with disabilities or impairments
· Monitors, analyzes, Web site traffic and utilizes findings to assure site optimization.
· Analyzes, reports on, and takes action on Web site user feedback
· Creates original copy for Web site features as needed
· Collaborates on the creation of marketing deliverables using various communication media
· Participates in strategic marketing planning and creates graphic/text deliverables as needed to support firm marketing efforts
· Creates and maintains related databases to track marketing data and results
Requirements Include:
· Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
· High-level ability to work independently
· Proven ability to gather and assimilate knowledge from a variety of sources (i.e., personal interviews, Internet research, marketing materials, technical guides, legal documents) to create content
· Ability to break down complex subjects and explain abstract concepts in clear, simple language
· Strong understanding of communications, marketing, and customer service principles
· Understanding of basic project management principles
· Proficient in use of social media tools and experienced in social networking
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel)
· Experience in writing technical / legal content preferred
· Experience with common graphic and web design products
· Knowledge of Web technologies, protocols, and tools
· HTML programming experience
· Experience in Search Engine Marketing/Search Engine Optimization
· Working knowledge of Web authoring, development, and publishing tools
· Comprehensive experience with all aspects of Web site content management
· Sensitivity to browser compatibility issues
· Hands-on experience with Web-database integration and a range of database platforms
· Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
· Accessibility and ADA compliance experience
Formal Education & Certification
· College diploma or university degree and 5 years relevant work experience
