Summit Technologies, Inc. has a permanent position available as a Webmaster/Web Designer in Falls Church, VA. Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills are required. This position will be providing services for a government agency where access to classified information exists. The Webmaster /Web Designer will be responsible for creating stunning website layouts, graphics, and user interfaces. Must be able to identify and understand the opportunities and limitations of the web medium, as well as, information flow, readability, and interface usability principles. Should have a strong mix of graphic designs which are visually beautiful but highly functional, legible, and easy-to-use web pages. This role also coordinates development of new content areas with prospective customers, performs Tier 2 Help Desk support for issues such as broken links, web access, recommended links, etc. The Web Developer will assist on Section 508 compliance; implement web server configuration upgrades to enhance performance; serves as webmaster on various web servers and application servers. The Webmaster / Web Designer will assist in the Content Management in completion of the IA Controls checklist, NetOps checklist, and other documentation required to accomplish a successful Authority to Operate (ATO).

Responsibilities and requirements:

• Prepare statistical reports and other requests to be included in Monthly Status Reports.
• Efficient and expert use of HTML, XML, CSS, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, and Photoshop.
• This role requires a minimum Active DOD Secret clearance
• Requires IAT II cert within 6 months (Security +, CISSP, CISM GSEC, SCNP, SSCP etc...)
• Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience and training.

Experience with properly secured code is a big plus. The websites are open to the public, high traffic, government websites. Experience with how to secure code, effectively dealing with security breaches, etc. is important.
