Title: Website Developer/IT Support Specialist
REPORTS TO: IT Director
The Website Developer/IT Support Specialist is responsible for website management and development for a Taft-Hartley Benefit Fund office located in the Burlington, MA area. The Website Developer/Support Specialist’s primary responsibility is to manage the Fund’s website and develop the website into an effective tool for communicating vital Fund information to its thousands of members. ______________________________________________________________________________
Primary Responsibilities
Website Development: Program, test and implement website enhancements as requested.
Content Development: Manage website content, write/edit/publish newsletters and collect website statistics from the different departments.
Daily Activities: Manage operational status of website servers, respond to website technical support questions and manage website help desk. Perform IT operational activities such as transferring data (B2B) to and from Fund’s business partners, end of day process staging, generating and distributing reports per operational schedule and printing special forms as scheduled.
Troubleshooting: Assist outside consultants in network problems (DNS, DHCP), desktop applications (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc), work with outside organizations to resolve EDI and FTP transmission problems and assist IT Director in follow up with network problems and issues to ensure a timely resolution.
Hands-on Operational knowledge of: website content management, website development, Red Hat LINUX (Enterprise 5.3), Apache server, mySQL, PHP, C++, Desktop publishing.
Some knowledge of: MS Office (2003/2007), DNS, DHCP, AD network troubleshooting (Routers, Switches, and Cabling) and PC/laptop trouble shooting.
Beneficial to have knowledge of: Computer operations, HIPAA data security requirements, and IBM iSeries AS400.
