Job Title

Website Producer/Content Administrator, E-Commerce

Start- ASAP

Length- Until end of December possible.  Will depend on the amount of work that is to be done.

Rate- Please send your hourly rate THROUGH A STAFFING FIRM. Rate will typically fall at $30-45/hr based on experience and samples.

Location- Northern Suburbs.  If you live in the city you can get there by Public Trans.  If you are in the suburbs you will need a car.  THIS JOB IS ONSITE.

 

Description

Our client is looking for an experienced website producer/content administrator to support marketing and merchandising efforts through the production of online content, site pages and promotional banner placement.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Copy and other functional teams, create new or update existing promotional pages and integrated site placements through the use of a browser-based web content management application
  • Turn creative designs/layouts into a finished product, utilizing HTML, CSS, XML, Flash and JavaScript as needed, adhering to tight deadlines and specific guidelines and styles, with minimum supervision
  • Coordinate with internal teams to create business requirements for web site page updates, additions or enhancements; leveraging past experience and continuous learning of online user experience best practices
  • Provide immediate day-to-day support of page production-related requests in a timely manner
  • Manage a queue of work (for both manual and automated processes) from pre-production to live site
  • Provide page production/editing/maintenance support for internal website prototyping environment
  • Convert/Optimize external content sources (e.g. HTML, MS Word, Text, Graphics etc.) as need to comply with internal standards
  • Troubleshoot a variety of issues relating to content production and execution
  • Assist with additional projects, reporting and tasks as needed

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of web authoring and production experience in a fast-paced, business-to-consumer environment
  • Creative, detail-oriented, problem solver with strong written and verbal communication skills with team members from multiple disciplines (graphic designers, editors, developers, etc.)
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have the ability to keep up with changing prioritization and last-minute adjustments
  • Ability to work independently and also work effectively within a team-based environment
  • Solid understanding and application of search engine optimization (SEO) and website accessibility best practices
  • Must have the ability to learn in-house tools quickly and thoroughly
  • Demonstrated proficiency in web languages (HTML, JavaScript, XML, Flash and CSS)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of imaging tools (Photoshop) and HTML editors (Homesite or Dreamweaver)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Copy editing skills
  • Experience with browser-based content management systems a plus
  • ATG Commerce Suite experience a plus
  • Graphic design background a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business or related field, or Web Design / Production Certificate
