Job Description:
Well Known Women's Fashion Company Seeks a Product Development Coordinator!!!!!!

Someone with a fashion design background and education, working at similar companies, edu from schools like FIT, Parsons and degrees in fashion and design. They need to have a technical design background. Experience with fabric draping, applications of trims, construction of the garment, and fitting the garment to the masses. They need to be able to do flat sketches to concept the garments. They need to be proficient with computer programs like Illustrator, Power Point, (Photoshop would be a plus).

The assistant will be responsible for sample management/production process (labeling and cataloguing samples for quick recall). They will be asked to create tech packs, build decks, create color and mood and inspiration boards. A well organized, mulit tasker with a keen aesthetic design sense is required.

If the candidate has had experience in those categories dresses, intimates, denim, knits, etc- it will probably give them a leg up, women's apparel is key.


"Individual contributor with a technical background. One who understands fabric, trim, construction and fit. Will be responsible for sample management: organizing, labeling and photographing. Will also be responsible for tech pack creation: adding original picture, flats, detail sketches, completing administrative information, fabric, trim, construction and measurements. Will also assist in milestone meeting preparation: building PowerPoint decks, creating color boards and preparing materials.

Qualifications: education in design with computer and Illustrator skills. Must be able to do flats and detail sketches."
