Wind Resource Assessment Manager
Wind Resource Assessment Manager System One is in need of a Wind Resource Assessment Manager to support the development team in all aspects of project wind resource assessment including the management of company’s fleet of met towers, data collection and analysis, turbine layouts and energy estimation. Former experience in modeling utility-scale wind energy projects is required, with a strong background in meteorology and wind industry standard software tools. Responsibilities - Create project turbine arrays using Wind Pro and/or Windfarmer.
- Use Industry standard software modeling tools to create iterative forecasts of project output using multiple turbine types.
- Manage the specification, installation, and data collection on all company met towers
- Manage third party contractors involved in due diligence of energy forecasts and met tower scope
Requirements - Undergraduate degree in technical/math/science discipline with a strong academic record, meteorology degree preferred but not required
- Three to five years minimum of related experience
- Extensive experience with WASP, Windpro and/orWindfarmer
- Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS
- Proven track record and strong interest in Wind Energy Resource Assessment
