The Windows System Administrator will be a senior level position with a focus on hosting infrastructure and applications for a large Government client located at the Goodfellow complex in Saint Louis.   The System Administrator will be responsible for processing Tier II/III tickets and installation and maintenance of our hosting environment. The System Administrator will be tasked with the creation of change management documentation and process and procedures for metric tracking and implementation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform System Configuration, software installation and upgrades of Windows 2000, 2003 and UNIX web servers and database servers
• Respond to customer requests for loads and system customizations
• Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of selected systems
• Participate in our 24x7 on call rotation at the tier II/III escalation level
• Perform Application Maintenance and upgrades including Data On Tap

Experience Required/Desired*

• Experience working a 24x7 datacenter environment
• Strong Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 system administration skills
• Linux/Unix experience a plus
• Software Installation and configuration, applying modules and patches, and network security.
• Experience with IIS 6 and .Net a plus
• 2+ years of experience with VMWare ESX 2.5 or higher

Education Required/Desired*

- BS in a related field AND 5 years of IT experience (3 being specialized)

OR MS in related field AND 3 years of specialized experience

OR 10 years of specialized experience.

- Microsoft Certifications (MCSE minimum)
