Wine and Spirit distributor is seeking experienced Sales Representatives in the Janesville, WI area to manage a pre-existing set of accounts, deliver effective sales presentations, responsible to sell and fully merchandise all products, grow distribution & case volume of all products in assigned territory by account and build outstanding relationships with customers by providing reliable customer service.
Areas of Responsibility 1. Selling · Understanding company’s products. · Understanding company’s programs and promotions. · Representing company as a sales consultant, assuming the role as the retailer’s advisor on merchandising, sales displays and promotions. 2. Territory Management · Pre-planning your sales efforts SMART goals. 1. Specific goals. 2. Measurable achievement of goals. 3. Attainable goals. 4. Realistic goals. 5. Timely goals and reporting. · Taking care of credit and collections. · Identify and communicate competitive activity and actions. · Knowing volume trends by brand in your territory. · Knowing the trends in each of your assigned accounts and the business strategies and practices of ach of your retailers. · Managing your time effectively. 3. Administration · Maintaining up to date route cards and account information sheets. · Providing accurate daily reports and preplans. · Complying with all company’s policies and procedures. · Administrative tasks are important… They directly increase your effectiveness and overall sales success. They help you stay organized and give you more time to sell. 4. Merchandising · Communicating to your customers all aspects of company’s products and promotions. · Effectively using POS materials. · Conducting promotions in accounts that help increase sales. 5. Personal Habits · Projecting a professional appearance. · Maintaining a positive approach to selling and servicing company’s products. 6. Servicing · Effectively managing and resolving account issues. · Avoiding out of stocks. · Maintaining products in highly sellable condition. Position Requirements · Minimum 2 year degree · Experience selling & merchandising consumer products to the retail trade. · Solid interpersonal skills. · Strong work ethic, including a willingness to work early mornings or late nights. · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. · Strong working knowledge of retail pricing mathematics and requirements.
