Work Control Manager

ASRC Airfield & Range Services, a wholly owned Subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is currently seeking a Work Control Manager in Washington, DC.

 

The Work Control Manager is a key position on the ASARS NASA Headquarters OSS contract.  The Work Control Manager Position is a critical part of the ASARS OSS Program Management Team, and serves as the third manager, when the PM and Deputy PM are out.  This person oversees and manages the Facilities Help Desk operations, and supervises the Help Desk staff.  Coordinates the development of technical and financial report inputs for the Program Manger.  Provides support for team leaders when needed.  Demonstrates knowledge of Administrative polices, facilities management, and ASARS policies and procedures.  Guides staff through the use of the Deltek Electronic Time sheet procedures, and completes and signs time sheets for staff on their behalf, when they are out of the office.  This person also works closely with the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager to assist with Administrative projects.

 

Essential Job Function

 

  • Oversees and manages the Facilities Help Desk operations, and supervises the Help Desk staff.
  • Assists the Program Manager and Deputy Manager with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assists the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager with interviewing staff for the Help Desk, but it is the Program Managers ultimate decision on who is hired.
  • Manages Help Desk Operations, to include supervision the Help Desk Staff.
  • Maintains and updates the information for Facilities Help Desk User Manual and Standard Operation Procedures Binder.
  • Assists the Help Desk staff with processing FHDS request.
  • Makes calls to NASA customers to follow-up on all FHDS tickets, to make sure the thicket was handled satisfactorily.
  • Processes all ASARS, DST, and ABM PIV badging request, and changes of status to assist the NASA OSS COTR.
  • Serves as the ASARS Human Resources point of contact, and guides new ASARS employees with new hire paperwork.
  • Monitors and compiles daily staff sign-in sheets to make sure that staff on the ASARS contract are present and accounted for, and helps enforce time and attendance.
  • He/she consults with Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager prior to requesting ASARS staff to back-up the operations, to make sure they give approval.
  • Assists Deputy Program Manager with project scheduling.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and is proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Must be able to quickly learn NASA's PIV security program and other key NASA programs.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a full access NASA security badge.
  • It is preferable that this person have a drivers license.
  • Customer Service Experience is a plus. 

 

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment is primarily a office environment.  The Work Control Manager is primarily administrative, but in a pinch this person could be asked to assist with an driving services and other NASA Facilities related work as assigned.
