Workers' Compensation Adjuster

Summary of Role:

In this role under general direction, you will investigate and settle moderate-to-difficult claims for assigned lines of business promptly and equitable under general supervision. Review coverages, determine liability and compensability, secure information, arrange property damage appraisals and settle claims utilizing claims best practices. Set reserves and recommend reserve changes to supervisor and Company attorneys in preparing cases for litigation.

  • Develop subrogation and third party recovery potential and follow reclaim procedures.

  • Analyze claims activities and prepare reports for clients, carriers and/or management.

  • Participate in claims reviews.

  • Perform duties in other areas as requested.


Requirements:

  • Technical claims investigations/settling experience.

  • Adjuster License in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.

  • Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and/or Rhode Island WC Adjuster License required

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least six (6) months experience in Crawford US Property & Casualty or similar organization. Workers Compensation (WC)

  • Industry designations (IIA, AIC, AEI, and/or CPCU)
