Workforce Program Specialist

About the Job

PSI (www.policy-studies.com), is a rapidly expanding, nationally recognized provider of outsourcing, technology, and consulting services to health and human services organizations.

$12-$13.50 per hour

This position assists job seekers in achieving employment stability and securing employment that meet their income needs. Responsibilities include:
• Assessing the skill levels, aptitudes, and abilities of job seekers;
• Coordinating supportive services and assessing participant progress;
• Performing job information and training searches;
• Counseling job seekers and assisting them with career planning in both group and individual sessions;
• Following up with program participants at regular intervals and identifying potential problems that could be remedied with supportive services or counseling;
• Providing short-term prevocational services and job readiness training to prepare job seekers for training programs and/or employment

The ideal candidate will typically possess the following:
• High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years experience enrollment, eligibility, or case management.
• Experience with MS Office products and in the use of a personal computer.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, to all segments of the population.
