Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

•Maintain x-ray files and records of all patients requiring x-rays;

•Obtain quality x-rays using correct position and radiation exposure and proper labeling of films and jackets;

•Implement safety procedures for patients, self and staff to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation;

•Ensure the safety of patients when using wheelchairs, stools, etc.;

•Distribute x-ray stock as needed in x-ray rooms and treatment area;

•Understand the x-ray and processing equipment so that it will be used in the proper fashion;

•Handle physician requests in a timely manner.

Minimum Education & Other Requirements

Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

•Employee must be at least 18 years of age;

•Minimum typing experience;

•Strong verbal and written communication skills;

•High School graduate or equivalent;

•Licensed through the State Board and/or registered with ARRT;

•Registered graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology, B.S. Diploma or Associates Degree or registry eligible with two years experience preferred;

•Minimum of one or two years clinical experience preferred;

•Bilingual a plus.
