The Yahoo! Custom Development Team has an immediate opening for a seasoned Project Manager to organize and drive projects with one of our largest global partners - AT&T.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role you will own and drive the delivery for major releases of convergence applications across TV’s, mobile devices and the Web. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, UI, QA and executive management, as well as other functional groups (including legal, marketing, PR), and other Yahoo! and AT&T business units. Your responsibilities will include: authoring and managing the project plan inclusive of project resource coordination, working with engineers and engineering management on scoping and estimating, driving cross-functional team deliverables and schedules, hitting target milestones, managing assigned projects according to plan, driving the core team, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept fully informed of project status and progress; and collaborating closely with product managers during the complete product development lifecycle.

Additional responsibilities include: owning and maintaining the full project dependency list, managing open issues and working cross-functionally to determine remedies as necessary; ensuring quality of product releases; acting as an advocate for internal and external customers throughout all stages of a project; providing regular status updates on all projects; and communicating and managing priorities with development teams

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-oriented, detail-driven project/program manager with at least 5-8 years of software and/or web project development experience.
• Expertise in developing detailed plans for complex projects involving challenging requirements, limited resources, and fixed deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive implementation within a matrix-type reporting structure.
• A proven track record of managing large scale projects, building appropriate processes and tools, delivering results, and familiarity with standard software project and project management concepts, practices, and procedures, including familiarity with project management software are critical for success in this role.
• A solid understanding of the basic technology behind web-delivered applications; familiarity with metrics, operations, and the complete product lifecycle (e.g., MRD, PRD, implementation, PR, marketing, etc.) is required.
• You must possess expertise in both written and interpersonal communication, in relationship building, and in collaboration in a cross-functional team comprised of diverse personalities, skill sets, and levels of experience.
• Exposure to a wide variety of software project management methodology is preferred, especially in both waterfall and agile methods.
• Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail are a must, as is the ability (and preference!) to work in a fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment.
• BA/BS required, preferably in computer science or engineering.

Preferable Job Qualifications:

• Graduate degree is preferred.
