The NA Region is responsible for delivering over 4 billion dollars of revenue to Yahoo! on an annual basis.
The role of the Senior HR Manager is to develop and implement people strategies that support our business objectives and values. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about their work, possess strong interpersonal and project management skills, and have previous experience in an Internet/Media/Technology company.
This individual will be the site HR Lead for Yahoos newly created sales and support site. In addition, the position will provide Human Resources Consulting and serve as the HR Business partner for the NA Region Account Management functions. The Sr. HR Manager will work closely with business leaders to ensure HR programs and services support and drive Yahoo!'s business objectives. We are seeking someone with a solid HR business partner background and demonstrated change management experience, to function as a strategic business partner and be able to direct all aspects of human resources initiatives. The selected individual will be able to lead cultural change, build internal business partnerships, provide coaching to develop others, challenge the status quo and offer creative solutions to business issues. This position requires understanding of federal and state HR related regulations and compliance procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
• Translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions and initiatives.
• Coach business leaders on issues of effective team building and organization effectiveness.
• Ensure proper implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives.
• Manage employee relations issues with an eye towards ensuring Yahoo! remains an employer of choice.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree is required; an advanced degree would be a plus.
• 7-10 years of progressive HR experience in a complex high growth environment
• Human Resource experience in benefits administration, employee communication and hiring.
• Knowledge of basic HR law and applications
Preferable Job Qualifications:
• Informal "roll up your sleeves and get it done" leadership style that is people-centric, effective and marked by a high level of energy.
• In-depth experience in Human Resources Management and have been an actively contributing member of an HR management team.
• Proactive in developing and effectively introducing alternatives to current HR practices as appropriate.

• Track record of success in an informal, "smart" environment providing effective, contemporary and practical advice.
• Capability, energy, experience, presence and outlook to quickly establish HR's credibility with the senior leadership team.
