Zone Merchandise Supervisor – Grocery (Fresh Department)

Papillion, NE

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by acknowledging the customer, identifying customer needs and assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise resolving customer issues and concerns, as well as promoting products and services, while maintaining a safe shopping environment
• Provide direction and guidance to associates on customer service techniques to ensure customer complaints and issues are resolved
• Maintain area of responsibility by ensuring claims and returns are properly handled, area is zoned, merchandise/supplies are arranged and organized and shrink and damages are identified
• Assist in driving the achievement of financial goals in multiple departments by ensuring hourly supervisors manage the Customer Inventory Flow Process, and teach hourly supervisors how to develop and follow through with SWAS plans
• Assist management with the supervision of associates in multiple departments by assigning duties, developing and communicating goals, teaching and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducting daily meetings
• Participate in the hiring, recruiting, scheduling, training, coaching and evaluation of department supervisors in assigned area, and ensure the hiring, recruiting, scheduling, training, coaching, and evaluation of all non-supervisors in assigned area
• Oversee execution of merchandising plans in the Fresh/Consumable areas by ensuring merchandise is in stock, available to customers and rotated correctly; product displays are set up, organized, culled and signed appropriately; and damaged, distressed or out of date merchandise is promptly removed from the sales floor
• Ensures the execution of Customer Value Program, and ensures appropriate markdowns and throwaways are completed daily
• Works with hourly supervisors to ensure compliance logs (i.e. pest control, temperature, cleaning, etc) are filled out and manage follow up if discrepancies occur
