Account Supervisor

About the Job

Rauxa is looking for a talented Account Supervisor with digital or marketing agency experience for its NY office. 


The Account Supervisor (AS) is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing strong client relationships. This responsibility includes maintaining stable client relationships and achieving growth on existing accounts, as well as managing the supporting Account Service team. The AS is expected to be the cross-functional team leader, with ultimate budget, quality, and timeline accountability. The AS is ultimately responsible for driving client satisfaction at every touch point.  The ideal candidate will have outstanding project management skills, the ability to persuade and inspire others, and a proven track record of successful account leadership.

  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Is responsible for being the agency's "expert" on a client and/or business category
  • Leads the agency's efforts to become a valuable resource to the client's organization
  • Manages the delivery of a wide variety of project types (interactive, direct mail, strategy, etc.)
  • Establishes and meets annual and monthly account growth goals
  • Maintains direct, day-to-day, senior level client contact and supervises one or more accounts
  • Responsible for job-level and account-level profitability
  • Works in a proactive manner to provide the client with thought leadership and strategic guidance, determining the best solutions to fulfill the needs of the client
  • Partners with the VPAS to ensure proper agency support is allocated to client jobs
  • Maintains a superior level of knowledge in all aspects of relationship marketing, including expertise in both direct mail and digital engagement vehicles
  • Maintains a superior knowledge of data analytics and can clearly articulate the value it brings to our clients
  • Writes Job Launch Briefs and reviews briefs written by direct reports
  • Analyzes client input and applies background knowledge to direct the internal Rauxa team
  • Provides internal teams with well-documented input, support data, and production materials as required
  • Manages client annual budgets and communicates updates to clients as needed
  • Keeps appraised of all relevant client products/services/marketing developments
  • Develops project quotes & schedules for client approval 
  • Reviews all final creative materials, such as proofs, staging sites/pages, or test emails with client and ensures the information is accurate and that client approval gets communicated to digital and/or print production groups
  • Effectively presents, sells, and defends all agency work/proposals to clients
  • Ensures that projects are delivered to clients on time and on budget and of a high standard of excellence
  • Grows current client accounts by developing strategic recommendations that meet the client’s business objectives and long-term goals
  • Supervises  Account Service team members, providing ongoing direction to ensure that all jobs are managed effectively and efficiently
  • Conducts training, creates employee development plans, and conducts annual reviews for all direct reports
  • Conducts weekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports in order to monitor project progress and provide regular coaching and direction
  • Consistently demonstrates project management best-practices, and reinforces correct practices with assigned Account Service team members
  • Acts as a leader within the Account Service team, providing training and support for junior team members
  • Builds lasting client and agency relationships


 SKILL SET / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Proven leadership ability and previous management experience
  • Solid understanding of marketing best-practices, with specific experience within the interactive marketing and direct mail categories
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems creatively
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to precise details and accuracy
  • Proven strategic account leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and persuasion skills
  • Ability to manage several very complex projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to proactively represent the agency to all levels of the client organization, including executive level management
  • Demonstrated database marketing skills, direct marketing skills and creative development skills
  • Demonstrated digital marketing experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, highly dynamic atmosphere and react quickly to changes


 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required
  • At least seven (7) total years of agency experience (digital agency experience preferred)
  • Experience with multiple marketing channels such as digital, social media, email, direct mail and print
