Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager – Irvine, CA


A Global Real Estate Investment firm with offices in Irvine is looking for an Accounting Manager.  Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Manager will manage the daily accounting department activities to ensure that financial and operating reports are timely and accurately reflect the condition of the company’s global operating companies.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Assist in overseeing global budgeting and consolidated financial reporting for offices in North America, Europe, and Asia

• Manage financial audits

• Review corporate domestic and foreign tax matters

• Review foreign office fundings

• Interpret, analyze, and model financial agreements

• Innovate and execute internal financial controls to safeguard integrity of reported information and eliminate inefficient processes

• Develop effective financial and management reports presenting operating results

• Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in finding and implementing solutions

• Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues, which includes the accurate and timely preparation of cash flow statements, management of receivables and payables and global cash management.

• Analyze and report variances to operating budgets

• Provide supervision, training and development of staff

• Perform other duties as requested by management




• CPA with minimum of 4 years audit experience in public accounting, Big 4 preferred

• Proven success managing staff of 5 or more people

• Financial modeling and analysis experience

• Strong work ethics with a desire to continue professional development

• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly

• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately

• Must routinely meet deadlines

• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary

• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet objectives

• Excellent analytical skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects with minimal supervision

• Strong leadership, management and people skills

• Excellent computer skills including financial accounting systems and Microsoft products

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
