AMC Account Coordinator

What are we looking for?

The Kellen Company is seeking an energetic, organized and self-motivated team playerthat will be a key staff professional for the Washington, DC based account team which currently services multiple building products industry associations.

 

This position will report to the lead Senior Account Executive with responsibility to provide services such as coordination of programs or committees including management of daily operations and services.   Responsibilities include oversight and hands-on administration of the associations’:

·         Task Force and Committee Management

·         Project and Issues Management

·         Publication Review

·         Coalition Representation and Management

·         Communications

 

Specific Duties Include:

Task Force and Committee Management

·         Manage, coordinate, and facilitate the activities of multiple task forces and committees

·         Serve as staff liaison to volunteer task force and committee chairs

·         Organize, conduct, and lead conference calls and small working meetings

·         Prepare meeting minutes and action items, follow-up to ensure action items are completed

·         Assist with recruiting and coordinating outside speakers for association meetings

·         Prepare presentations and reports as needed

 

Project and Issues Management

·         Manage, coordinate, and ensure the timely completion of client projects

·         Serve as liaison to task force / committee and outside consultants

·         Draft RFPs, solicit and compile submissions, and work with association members to select consultant

·         Organize, conduct, and lead conference calls and small working meetings

·         Draft meeting minutes and action items, follow up to ensure action items are completed

·         Prepare presentations and reports as needed

·         Deliver reports and provide verbal updates at association meetings as needed

 

Publication Review

·         Manage, coordinate, and ensure association publications are kept up-to-date

·         Serve as primary liaison to task forces

·         Organize, conduct, and lead conference calls and small working meetings

·         Draft meeting minutes and action items, follow up to ensure action items are completed

·         Coordinate with internal Kellen resources to modify documents and upload to association websites

·         Provide verbal status reports at association meetings as needed


       Coalition Representation and Management

·         Coordinate coalition activities and/or serve as staff liaison to coalitions as needed

·         Share information and keep coalition members aware of latest issue developments

·         Communicate internally within Kellen to ensure other staff members receive the relevant information


       Communications

·         Serve as primary point of contact for technical affairs related phone calls and email inquiries

·         Coordinate with internal Kellen Company resources to distribute written communications related to industry and government hearings, seminars, workshops, etc.


Am I qualified?

Minimum Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications or associated disciplines

·         Minimum of 2-5 years professional experience; building products industry and association management experience a plus.

·         Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc). required

·         High energy, organized, self-directed, and ability to handle accurately diverse details at one time

·         Versatile, good analytical and organizational skills with consistent attention to detail and deadlines

·         Ability to multi-task, working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

o    Ability to manage multiple, ever-changing priorities and situations

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills 

·         Strong relationship building skills to meet client expectations and learn their business

o    Excellent human relations skills and proven ability to build consensus

·         Travel required
