  Role Overview
AMEC Environment and Infrastructure is seeking an Analyst in Transportation Asset Management for our rapidly expanding practice. AMEC is a leader in asset management with a focus on the highway mode, serving federal and state DOTs. AMEC has key contracts in place and a strong project portfolio, presenting opportunities for rapid expansion of this practice. We are looking for a motivated, hardworking candidate, with the blend of business, planning, engineering and analytical acumen needed for this exciting market place.  
AMEC’s Transportation Asset Management practice is based in metro Washington DC, working nation-wide. For the right candidate, placement in any AMEC E&I office in the continental US is possible.
Key Responsibilities

  • Contributes technical specialization to AMEC's Transportation Asset Management practice.
  • Provides advanced technical knowledge in transportation asset management for federal, state and local governments, with a focus on highways.
  • Leads complex projects, and supports other projects or phases of large projects.
  • Develops new business through technical proposal development, networking, specialized service offerings, client interaction, conference participation and professional reputation.
  • Contributes positively to a committed, professional team environment.
  • Acts as expert resource working across the company, including for related opportunities outside of highway transportation.

Role Requirements

  • An advanced degree is required, with specialization in one or more key facets of transportation asset management. Perhaps an MBA. Other combinations of planning, engineering, policy or analytical educational backgrounds will be considered. 
  • A minimum of 3 years experience after first degree, which could include grad school and/or work, and 1 year experience minimum specializing in Transportation Asset Management. Exceptions considered.
  • Knowledge of transportation asset management principles and emerging practices are essential.
  • Specialization in one or more of organizational behavior, performance management, risk management, modeling, life-cycle costing, for transportation asset management is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and data management skills are essential.
  • You must be an excellent communicator to include technical writing, oral presentation, facilitation and executive level synthesis.
  • Must demonstrate ability to lead tasks within projects and have excellent client service abilities.
  • Local, regional and national travel varying from 2-6 overnights per month should be anticipated, depending upon home base location.
  • Must pass drug screen, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy.
