Audit Manager Provide support, advice and assigned services regarding audit and R&D financial services to the EPRI Contract Audit Manager in support of activities of all organizations of EPRI and the EPRI Board of Directors. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Support the Contract Audit Manager and function to assure that costs charged to EPRI by the R&D contractors are reasonable, allocable and allowable, and are in compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract, and provide appropriate R&D financial services. 2. Support the negotiation of direct and indirect rates, audit rights, master agreement terms and conditions, special clauses, and other contractual issues working with the Sourcing organization. 3. Performs special assignments including financial evaluations, committee assignments, and projects. 4. Plans, develops and establishes financial and administrative Continuing and Specific Objectives consistent with Institute and division missions and goals. 5. Maintains sound business relationships with personnel throughout the Institute and with Contractors to help assure mutual cooperation. 6. Reviews with the Contract Audit Manager all potential financial and contractual issues or matters of significant import to the Institute's success for the purpose of offering recommendations, securing advice, or seeking authorization to proceed with actions. 7. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with senior management, the Contract Division's staff, technical managers, and the administrative managers to investigate and resolve complex audit questions, problems and/or complaints, relate audit findings, recommend corrective alternative action, and explain audit standards, procedures and policies. Provide advisory services for the Institute and when required assist and educate Contractors. 8. Establishes and maintains outside contacts and working relations with government accounting, public accounting, and other contract auditing communities to help ensure that the EPRI Audit Section keeps current on relevant audit techniques and contract audit principles. 9. Establishes and maintains appropriate and professional relationships with R&D contractors, utility members, government, and outside auditors. 10. Other related duties as assigned. Education Level and Years of Experience: Travel Requirements: EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA). EPRI uses the system to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from the employee's I-9 form against SSA and Department of Homeland Security databases.
