Healthcare Technology Consultant – BI

Our client, a recognized leader in the field, specializes in providing technology consulting services for the Healthcare Industry. They are seeking a Healthcare Technology Consultant in theSeattle area with 2-5 years’ experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and experience using the Microsoft BI stack. The successful Healthcare Technology Consultantwill be able to follow a defined career path that will allow you to grow from mostly development focused tasks initially through to complex business analysis and consulting in areas like date warehousing. As you learn the business and the industry, you will be provided increasing challenges and responsibilities.
Your responsibilities, in general terms, will fall into two areas: Initially, you will primarily focus your expertise around SQL server related development, either implementation and customization of an existing product or the development of customized health care data solutions. As you get to know the customers, the Healthcare Technology Consultantwill assume increasingly greater responsibilities and spend more time working with the customer. TheHealthcare Technology Consultant role will expand into areas such as project management, requirements gathering, architecture/design and overall project delivery. Consulting with the client on a regular basis will require superior customer service and presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex data and technical concepts to non-technical people.
Requirements for the Healthcare Technology Consultant role:
•Technical expertise with SQL: stored procedures, programming, queries
•Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and database engines. Experience with SSAS preferred.
•A desire to grow into a client-facing consulting role.
•A background in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science is mandatory for the Healthcare Technology Consultant.
•Prior experience with Pharmacy Claims Data analysis or Healthcare Data analysis strongly preferred
•Previous experience working directly with customers to understand complex business requirements would be a plus.
