Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is a national litigation law firm based in Minneapolis with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston and Naples. We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Business Development Director located in our New York, NY office, focusing on the firm’s national Financial Services and Manufacturing industries.
This position reports to the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, and working with the Marketing and Business Development team, is responsible for positioning the firm and the assigned industries to the marketplace and developing qualified opportunities from prospects or continuing clients that have the highest potential to generate new business.
Keys to success for the Business Development roles include a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business with a focus on sales and marketing), management level experience in the Financial Services and Manufacturing industries, prior business development converting to sales success, a minimum five-year, proven track record in legal/professional services-related or solutions-based sales, solid network of contacts and clients, ability to work productively and collaboratively with multiple contacts at multiple levels, a professional attitude and approach with personal charisma, and the ability and willingness to travel. Legal industry experience is a plus.
