Business Development Manager Cloud Solution Executive
About the Job
Field and customer engaged business development manager operating at a corporate level responsible for leading joint solution initiatives with service provider partners. The successful candidate will be able to operate on a strategic level and provide vision and leadership by helping to shape the solution offerings to best meet corporate and market needs. Senior technology lead responsible for the final scope and costing of solutions in support of partner engagements, and through the lifecycle of engagement execution, the facilitating technical lead for approved projects across both EMC and partner solution development and delivery resources. Primary metric is the timely and on budget deployment of new solutions according to the scope and plan they develop for engagements where they serve as the solution executive.
Act as a technical evangelist, thought leader and visionary to develop a long-term roadmap and strategy for the solution product line. Travel to conferences, events and customer sites to meet with field, customers, and partners gathering requirements and input to define content and overall direction of program. Capture market data and trends and temper with needs of the business and customers to set goals and direction of offerings including what should be created as content to satisfy technical need and connect it with the direction of the industry. Perform role of subject matter expert introducing and explaining new solutions and product line direction to audience ranging from C-Level executives to sales focused staff to end users.
• The ideal candidate will be someone comfortable communicating with technical and management staff alike to determine what benefits their role. • The applicant will be able to express the future of the program in terms that will energize and interest them. • This position requires someone to work cross-functionally with industry leading technologists, marketing specialists and sale-focused individuals. • Analyze large quantities of technical and market data, and discern directions for packaging and content of product line offerings. • Engage with field channel partners to identify and prioritize business opportunities. • Gather and analyze market data and channel input. • Review solution component possibilities for inclusion opportunity. • Define solutions offerings, content and alignment for the solution product line. • Define GTM value prop, messaging and positioning. • Coordinate and manage business unit and alliance partner relationships and alignment. • Manage Governance process. • Work business operations to develop sales programs, incentives and promotions. • Communicate roadmap to field. • Provide subject matter expertise for outbound activities.
