Business Development Manager

About the Job

This position will be located in Hunt Valley, MD.

The Business Development Manager will manage multiple product lines to increase sales and manage profitability in our expanding geography, including product training to inside and outside sales staff. The Business Development Manager will also work closely with the marketing team to increase product awareness across our brand and develop and implement a company-wide-go-to-market plan. The key role is strategic, but has multiple tactical responsibilities.

  • Increase sales revenue through product development and lead generation with existing customer base
  • Establish new customer targets
  • Increase product knowledge on targeted product groups throughout our sales teams
  • Forecast and manage sales progress of selected product lines
  • Perform and use market research to identify target markets; market analysis
  • Provide the sales team with necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product line, ensuring that the sales teams are kept up to date on developments regarding products and competitors
  • Assist with the development of the annual marketing plan, including forecasting
  • Manage the entire life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities on selected product lines
  • Develop sales strategy to target new markets
  • Data mining and analysis


  • BA degree in Marketing or related field required
  • 5+ years sales background ( business to business product sales)
  • Travel in the US (approx. 40% travel)
