Job Description

Sea Cargo Inc. is looking for a Business Development Manager with an opportunity to grow into a Regional Sales position.  Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: pre-qualifying existing sales leads, supporting regional sales managers, prospecting and selling to new clients as well as maintaining and expanding an existing customer base.

Our seasoned sales professionals will mentor selected candidates into becoming the best in the industry as we believe that company success starts with the success of each individual on our team.

This position is offered as a 3 months trial program with an opportunity to become a full member of the Sea Cargo Sales Team with a renegotiated contract.   As we expand there will be other sales and management opportunities available domestically and abroad.

This position offers a base salary and competitive commission based on performance.

Desired Skills & Experience

The successful candidate must be a fast-paced, self motivated, sales oriented individual with the ability to meet deadlines and sign business in short periods of time. Cold calling is a must but Sea Cargo Inc. will provide leads and support sales during customer meetings. Computer proficiency is a must as well as previous sales experience. We will train right individuals if their background is in sales other than shipping.

-2 Years prior experience in Professional Sales or Logistics Background

-College / University Preferred

-Must be motivated to work hard & travel when required

-Must have working knowledge of computers /email / typing / etc.

-Must speak English fluently

-Bi-lingual is a plus
