Software Consortium(www.softwareconsortium.com), a well-established Information Technology services company in the Washington/Baltimore region, seeks an assertive, high integrity and high performance sales professional to help grow our business. We provide Information Technology and management expertise to fast-growth, mid-tier and large organizations, as well as government agencies. Our services span a broad range of needs in the industry: software consulting and staffing, software project and team management, applications development, systems integration, architectural oversight, technology selection, knowledge sharing, strategy and off shore capabilities.

Due to increasing opportunities, we have an immediate opening for a motivated business development professional to our team. We are looking for an individual with the following specific experience:

Description:

Build and manage robust sales pipeline.

Perform and manage all sales tasks in the sales cycle that lead to closing profitable business by successfully pursuing, generating and qualifying sales leads, and pre-sales meetings.

Leverage internal marketing events and provide input and ideas to the marketing department to assist with the success of their mission.

 

 REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be a professional with at least two years of experience, preferably in mid-market and enterprise professional services sales..

Proven ability to generate quality sales leads, and build new business relationships through cold calling, customer visits, and networking, and other marketing activities.


Solution sales experience focused on consultative and/or service sales.

Strong written, verbal, inter-personal and presentation skills required.

Organized—proven goal-setter, ability to orchestra multiple activities to accomplish those goals.

Self-managed, self-starter, and achievement-oriented.


Excellent technical presentation and demonstration skills.

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
