Western Federal Credit Union has an opportunity for a salaried Business Development Representative based out of a Concord, CA location, to acquire and develop employer groups for the Credit Union.

The ideal candidate would have business development or sales experience within a financial institution, an outgoing, positive personality, and the desire to promote Western as the ideal choice for financial services!

Some responsibilities of the position include:

  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to develop strategies to increase membership
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for targeting and acquiring prospective Select Employer Groups (SEGs) as well as members
  • Represents the Credit Union at SEG orientations and sign-ups
  • Conducts on-site membership development events, sign-ups, and coordinates financial seminars and presentations at SEGs
  • Participates in local chamber of commerce and civic associations, attends and plans community events
  • Maintains contact and continually develops SEGs


Job Requirements:

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Two years of Credit Union or Banking experience required; experience in Business Development a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills including the ability to make presentations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of internal and external members
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service market
  • Use of personal vehicle and valid drivers license required
