The ideal candidate will be both a strong self-starter and effective collaborator, showing strong interest in systems and process improvement, strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills. He/she is expected to understand complex business processes and requirements and translate them to written requirements; the incumbent should also possess the ability to communicate and disseminate this information to appropriate people in the organization. He/she should exhibit the ability to work on multiple assignments; exercise good judgment in decision-making; meet deadlines; work independently, demonstrate an attention to detail and be flexible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeks opportunities to improve business processes through data integration.
Develops system specifications to take advantage of efficiency improvements, including but not limited to automating manual processes, streamlining applications, seeking out and documenting inefficient processes and developing Application concepts.
Use Implementation Methodology for requirements and analysis gathering and proactively contribute to process improvement
Enforce IT methodologies, specifications and standards. Implement, test and maintain information systems, provide technical documentation and analysis, administer training for users, and support end users.
Helps design databases and applications to meet organizational needs
Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain enterprise web applications, working from complex and multiple sources of data
Champion, communicate, and take personal ownership of the team's success criteria, and establish measures, metrics, thresholds, and targets to drive performance in alignment with the IT team plan.
Write and lead technical specification plans for clinicians and provide technical support to these clients throughout the trials. This includes installing software, leading onsite trainings, and technical support during the implementation.
5-7 years of experience as a business analyst
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration
Advance systems analysis and design techniques
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
Data management techniques including contemporary database management systems and data dictionary system
Good analytical abilities coupled with excellent written and verbal skills to explain technical information to managers and system users.
Must be familiar with automated processes for loading, retrieving, and manipulating data from a relational database
Programming skills is a plus (SQL, C, C++, PowerBuilder)
Project management skills is a plus
Healthcare or Insurance background is a plus
Finance background is a plus
