  • Organizes and administers the nursing care within his/her assigned cluster. Uses initiative and independent judgment in the performance of the following: implementation and enforcement operating room policies and procedures, develop staffing plans for cluster, maintain high quality of nursing care in cluster, and evaluate work performance of personnel, works closely with the other department managers to provide the best possible patient care and service to the physicians.
  • Under the direction of the Assistant Director Operating Room and the Perioperative Educator, the Surgical Coordinator coordinates. orientation/training programs, provides inservice educational programs for the development of the surgical staff.
  • Supervises and directs all nursing care given to patients within cluster according to policy and procedure.
  • Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department and interdepartmental objectives, and maintain good employee relations.

  • Nursing Licensure in state of Missouri required.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing or related field preferred.
  • CNOR preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: Sufficient previous clinical experience in perioperative nursing with proven managerial skills.
